Overview

Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1345, by Khë Beddoes. The establishment of Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Khë Beddoes electing to pay people to resettle in Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf.

Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the narrow cobblestone streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. The town's timber-based walls are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the towns defences.

A look around Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It’s a quiet town filled with closed scriptoriums, people quietly yet dejectedly reading in isolated places around town, and the occasional book laying in a heap of garbage.

Cultural Notes

Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf has a long tradition of martial expertise. This may be a crisply-organized history of skilled native levies, or it may be a natural belligerence in the people that leaves them familiar with bloodshed. While their neighbors and liege doubtless respect their talents, this very aptitude might make them more willing to turn to steel than prudence would advise.

Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

In Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf yeast remains dormant.

The Snake, Viper near Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf are known to be quite timid.

Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Illusion energies of tier 3 via singing.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf lost 272 people, 243 livestock, and 61 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 217, when members of Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf's militia enacted an operation to locate a particular depot. The operation was complicated by the army being put into a position where they could only choose between two terrible options. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in victory for Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Odíhg Tùwshàrkíhf's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
